Where does the initiative start

The story looks as if it were a perfectly casual one. Three young men, three carpenters, meet one day. They talk about wooden boats and decide to build one by themselves. They discover how difficult it is to do the job, they try and ask an experienced shipwright to help them along and he accepts to teach them. Indeed, the story is not as simple as that. The three young men happened to talk about building a wooden boat because the favourable conditions for it had been brought up by STORIE DI BARCHE. The same three young men had in fact gone through previous successful experiences in the field thanks to STORIE DI BARCHE, and this is how an experienced shipwright happened to share their enthusiasm and make them feel they could achieve their ambitious target, namely building a lateen rigged “gozzo” with their hands following the traditional techniques. This is the great challenge in question. GALATA MUSEO DEL MARE in Genoa should be the stage showing visitors how such fascinating target can be achieved, specially where visitors are often school boys and girls.
